DJ Akademiks has denied all allegations of sexual assault. During a Rumble livestream, Ak claimed that “narratives were being created” about him that “disregarded the facts.”
He first showed the viral video of his ex-girlfriend, Ziya Abashae, screaming in his house as his stream returned back online. The internet personality explained that she was “upset because she was being talked about in a disparaging way online.” He asserted that she wasn’t being raped or sexually assaulted.
The controversial figure then hit back at Abashae’s claims he and his friends raped her. “This situation went to the cops over a year and a half ago,” he said to his viewers. “Me and my lawyer were openly cooperative because [when it comes to] serious allegations — I don’t care who’s involved — I don’t want weird sh*t happening around me.”
“We helped the police. ‘Whatever you need! You want a phone? You want passcodes? Let’s decrypt our DVR.’ There is nothing they did not see…You know what the result of that investigation was? It was officially ruled by the D.A. and the police that there was nothing there. There ain’t no charges, there won’t be no charges and there’s documentation to say, ‘We looked at everything — everybody’s clear.’ Not only for me; for everybody involved,” he added.
As the stream progressed, Akademiks then shifted his attention to his rivals. During his rant, he referenced situations with Freddie Gibbs and Meek Mill and claimed they were waiting on his downfall.
“There [have] been numerous individuals who probably felt a way about me over the years,” he said. “Maybe their career wasn’t doing that good. They had to do some bunny-hopping for billionaires, had to sell their houses, they got dropped from their label. They might have thought that I was one of the reasons why their situation went down.”
