Real Housewives of Orange County star Gina Kirschenheiter is in the middle of a nasty divorce from her estranged husband, Matt, and they are currently arguing over their respective financial situations. Matt claims that Gina makes more than she originally claimed when she filed for divorce, but court documents from the split reveal that she makes significantly less than her RHOC co-stars.
Earlier this month, the judge in their case ordered Matt to pay Gina $10,000 a month in spousal and child support. But, Matt says he can’t afford it, and he also says Gina wasn’t honest about her Bravo salary during the settlement negotiations late last year.

Matt says that Gina claimed she earned $2,358 per month in 2018, but her 1099’s show that EFT Media Productions (RHOC’s production company) and NBC Universal (Bravo’s parent company) paid her more than twice that amount.
“Per your client’s 2018 1099 forms, in actuality, Ms. Kirschenheiter earned $63,000 from EFT Media Productions and $5,450.00 from NBC Universal, more than double what she claimed,” said Matt in documents he filed in Orange County Superior Court.
Matt says that he learned about Gina’s true income back in February when they were preparing to file their joint taxes for 2018. And in April, he found out that Gina’s salary for her first season of RHOC was $86,000.
The substantial difference in earnings is a “huge discrepancy,” says Matt. And, he also pointed out that he has lost his job since their settlement negotiations, and he no longer earns the $43,000 per month he was making as an account manager at Pimco.
The company fired Matt after his domestic violence arrest earlier this summer, and he says they didn’t want their business linked to RHOC from the beginning. Matt worked for Pimco for 12 years, and he says that when he told his employer about Gina landing a role on the Bravo show, they made it clear they didn’t want to be associated with it. This, he says, is the biggest reason he didn’t appear on camera last season.
Matt says that Gina’s claims of domestic violence and her request for a temporary restraining order made its way to the tabloids, and at that point Pimco said it was time for them to part ways.
Now, Gina is the only one making money, says Matt. He did reveal that he has $100,000 in the bank – including his $75,000 in severance – and he is struggling to find another job even though he is not facing criminal charges over the incident and he has never been convicted of a crime.
Matt says Gina’s accusations are making it impossible for him to find work because all a potential employer has to do is “a Google search” of his name.
Now, Matt believes Gina is earning at least $10,000 a month through her RHOC role, advertisements, endorsements, and appearances, according to documents obtained by Radar Online.

While this is a significant amount, it is just a fraction of what Shannon Beador claimed she made during her divorce from David Beador. During their split, Shannon claimed she earned $423,000 per year, while David said it was closer to $900,000.
Matt and Gina will be back in court on October 10th for a hearing over Matt’s claims. He wants to stop sending Gina $10,000 a month in support since he no longer has the income he had when they negotiated the support payments.
