STOCKHOLM, Sweden (CelebrityAccess) — Oakland-based rapper G-Eazy has reportedly been released from custody following an arrest by Swedish authorities for allegedly possessing cocaine and attacking a security guard.
According to Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet, G-Eazy, whose real name is Gerald Earl Gillum, was arrested on May 2nd after he was alleged to have been involved in a brawl at a trendy nightclub in Stockholm with members of the venue’s security team.
According to E! Online, G-Eazy pleaded guilty to charges of “assaulting an officer, violent resistance, and illegal drug possession,” but will not face jail time. Swedish authorities report finding a quantity of cocaine on the rapper, as well as a rolled up one hundred dollar bill.
Gillum’s girlfriend Halsey, who was present at the time of the alleged melee, may have been struck by a security guard. In a video of Gillum’s arrest, posted by TMZ, Halsey can be heard to tell police that a guard struck her in the face.
TMZ reported that after his release, Gillum was “free to leave the country” and “did not have to post bail” though he may face fines of as much as $9,000 in the incident.
